Got my keys on 12 Oct, started reno a week later and was completed by 30 Nov. Total cost for my 2 room resale HDB was about $31k inclusive of electrical works, whole house painting, wardrobe and kitchen carpentry, kitchen and toilet tiling works. I created a moodboard to convey my vision to my ID Eugene Ng and he offered good recommendations for tile colors in the toilet which I love how it turned out in the end. There were some hiccups and miscommunication along the way but it is bound to happen in a reno journey. What matters is his professional attitude and problem solving skills , plus a huge positive would be that he is very responsive and prompt in his communication and he has good follow up. Some comments on the workmanship: – am happy with how the tiles were laid in general , there was an effort to ensure grout lines and tiles lined up with each other – swing doors for kitchen cupboards and sliding doors for the wardrobe feel light , not sure of the quality of wood is but I guess it makes opening the doors easier and perhaps won’t result in the swing doors becoming unlevel so fast.
